The historical roots of the company LLOYD Autoteile GmbH & Co. KG go back to a period when the city of Bremen was an important production location within the automotive industry.

Lloyd Motoren Werke G.m.b.H. produced vehicles that are still familiar to many classic car enthusiasts around the globe. After the insolvency in 1961, LLOYD Autoteile split off and from then on acted as a dealer and exporter of automotive spare parts.
1976
LLOYD Autoteile was taken over by the traditional Bremen trading company

W.A. Fritze, which, in addition to international trade in paper, wool, machinery and equipment, now also concentrated on the export of automotive spare parts.

After further turbulent years of reorientation and restructuring, LLOYD and the previous parent company separated in 2000.

Long-standing customers and suppliers welcomed this decision and remained loyal to our company.
2012
LLOYD Autoteile Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG established itself in the international trade of automotive spare parts and concentrated mainly on the OE sector.

In order to diversify further and offer customers a broader range of products in the OEM and aftermarket sectors, the company merged with Continex in Hamburg in 2012, which has since also taken the name LLOYD Autoteile GmbH & Co. KG since then. At the beginning of 2016, the entire location moved from Hamburg to Bremen.
